Some may say that Kindergarten is a fun, care-free, winsome environment but my experience was the complete opposite of that. For the root half of my kindergarten year, I did not have many friends nor did many people profit an effort to be my friend. I was that kidskin who was to shy to join in any activities or to make new friends. So, my teacher, Mrs. Tobin, held a meeting with my parents discussing my lack of social skills and tire to figure out a solution for me. The solution was to shopping mall me into a young woman scout troop that the majority of female childs, in my kindergarden class, were in. To this day, I can remember my first day of misfire scouts and the emotions that i felt. Before walking in the door I cried, screamed, and fought with my mother because i did not want to go in but, thankfully, my mother did not give into my tantrum and dragged me into the meeting. After a warm welcome from my Troop leader and my fellow girl scouts I finally felt comfortable enough to stay. At that time in my life, i was to young and nieve to understand the import that this troop would have on my life and now I am extremely thankful that i am aside of it.
Growing up as girl scout is what sets me obscure from many people because of the values that i was taught.
At my girl scout meetings we had to say the pledge of allegiance and site the girl scout code.This code was pledge that we would do anything to have intercourse ourselves, love others, and to help one other no matter what. Our Troop leader was a very firm believer in both teaching us to reinforce the Girl lookout Code but also help one another to honor it. By verbally saying you will honor this code did not mean you are honoring it, you had to do it.We lived by the actions speak louder then words motto because zero will get accomplished unless you preform the task at hands. We spent hours after hours volunteering at nursing homes, soup kitchens, schools, and camps.
