There are three
methods used by the writers to identify a good essay topic. The
three methods are dependent on the type of paper that a particular
writer is interested in writing. The first method involves the
ability of the writer to clearly understand the type or form of paper
which he or she is writing. This helps the writer to select a topic
depending on the requirements of the essay.
For instance, when
writing a dissertation, it is recommended that the writer should come
up with a research topic which clearly defines the overall purpose of
the research. In addition, the topic should also be able to provide a
platform for carrying out research. The most important point to
consider in dissertation writing is in regard to collection of the
relevant data to complete the whole research. The different methods
of analyzing data together with how the data will be collected should
be a major priority.
The second step in identifying excellent essay
topics involves the ability of the essay writer to identify the
possible respondents of the research. The respondents are the people
who provide information when carrying out research. In getting
information from the respondents, the researcher can either decide to
use questionnaires or conduct direct interviews from the respondents.
These methods can also be used at the same time. The choice of which
method to use depends on the researcher and the type of information
to be used. For instance, information which is very confidential is
better collected by use of questionnaires. Example of such
information may be when the researcher wants to know if the
respondent is faithful in his or her relationship.
