Introduction

What is department of corrections? department of corrections is the range of community and institutional sanctions, treatment, programs, and services for managing offenders. The corrections system has a flesh of functions. department of corrections functions include imprisonment, parole, and probation. Corrections is about penalty, treatment, and supervision of people who have been convicted of a nuisance(s). Corrections started in the early 1950s. People thought it would be a way to rehabilitate the ill.
There argon three establishment levels of correctional system: Federal, State, and local anaesthetic, county and city. Federal prisons have five warranter levels: Federal Prison Camps, Low Security Federal punitory Institutions, United States Penitentiaries, Medium Security Penitentiaries, and Federal Correctional Complexes. Local jails are city and county jails are usually for zoning rules, place tickets, and smaller things.
Corrections is just not about prisons and cellblocks. Corrections include prisons, jails, halfway houses, ground homes, probation, parole, electronic monitoring, programs, and termination penalty.
Corrections grow more and more every day. States are act to figure out how to lower the personnel in prisons.
