I. Course Description
Biol. 102. Biology, Health and the Environment.
Prerequisite: None. May non be taken for credit toward a major in the Department of Biology or the Department of Chemistry. An introduction to the characteristics and diversity of life, with emphasis on human health and ecological relationships among funding things.
The student will interrelate biology, health and environment, and the future of existence and other organisms through scientific study and discussion of disputed issues such as population control, transmission and control of genetic diseases, genetic engineering, pollution (including the greenhouse effect and acid rain), and so on Three lectures per week. 3 hours
